Responsible for release management of numerous technologies, primarily .Net, i-Series and Polaris, through testing to the LIVE environments.Continually looking for ways to improve process through automation to allow for repeatable processing to increase the speed of deployment and reduce human error. In order to facilitate this I have written a number of automated spreadsheets utilising self-taught VBA scripting.Quickly become the subject matter expert for various release processes within the team and in liaising with other departments.Mentor for other team members in all areas of release processes.

-System i specialist utilising my knowledge of the applications gained over my years at cahoot I was given the opportunity to support seven production systems, including out of hours on call.-A release project manager taking responsibility, in rotation, for the monthly code changes, I pull together the implementation plans and resources to successfully release both web and backend code to the live production environment. -Project work: in order to contribute to the planned development workbook, and liasing with other teams to allocate environment resources.-My team manages all the test environments, including code delivery for web and the System i applications, as well as building, maintenance and support for all the test environments. -We also are first and second line support for the test teams. -Documentation: collated relevant processes and developed a central resource to ensure ease of access.-I also have the responsibility of being a Fire Warden for our building.

-Promotion resulting in additional responsibility as supervisor over 2 Operations Support Analysts -Responsible for second and third line support for the AS/400, the company's NT network including servers, desktops and photocopiers, as well as Lotus Notes administration.-Maintained security, PTF loads, OS/400 upgrades, performance management and capacity planning. -Tester of new application code from developers in Canada. -As the senior member of the team I trained new staff in the Systems department on all aspects of the role.-Supported the bonded warehouse software for reporting to H.M. Customs & Excise to ensure critical deadlines were achieved. -Researched new technologies to submit proposals to management for their implementation and use. This resulted in my appointment as project leader for the installation and configuration of the telephone system.-Researched and advised required action to ensure the company complied with the Data Protection Act 1998.

-First and second line support for the AS/400 and desktop hardware and software. -Operator, including daily batch jobs, reporting, all backups, all PTF and OS/400 upgrades as requested by the IT manager. -Responsible for sending the payroll for the whole company via BACS. -Creating templates and sending EDI invoices to our trading partners.-Responsible for training the senior managers and directors in the use of Cognos Powerplay, a data warehouse package and business intelligence tool. -First point of contact for out-of-hours system support and, as a primary keyholder, building security. -In charge of ordering all IT hardware and consumables, liaising and negotiate with numerous suppliers.

-End-user of AS/400 & Bull Systems bespoke software, as well as AutoCAD version 12 for the design of buildings and brick specials. -In charge of 'specials' projects for the whole of the Southern UK area.
