I lead Product Expansion at Faire including international, category and upmarket growth. Outside of work, I love hiking, biking, swimming, and snowboarding with my wife Ashley and daughters Kinley and Liana!

Before moving to Colorado to be closer to family and work on my own startup ideas, I was most recently a member of the consumer team at Trinity Ventures where I focused on early stage investments across the mobile, commerce, and digital media spaces. I continue to be particularly interested in mobile marketplaces and services that improve the way people live their lives.

After leaving Bain, I joined peer-to-peer car sharing startup Wheelz, Inc. as one of its first employees. While attending Stanford Graduate School of Business, I led early business development efforts at Wheelz, helping to close the company's first official campus contract with Pomona College and building partnerships with multiple West Coast colleges and universities that supported Wheelz' first car sharing networks. I also led early business intelligence efforts for the company, performing analytics to help drive product development, refine Wheelz' service offering, inform market expansion efforts, hone the company's pricing model, and track competition. Wheelz raised $13.7M in Series A funding led by Zipcar and expanded to multiple networks across the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles before being acquired by Turo.

After being promoted to Senior Associate Consultant, I shifted gears from focusing on corporate engagements with electric utilities to conducting due diligence for multiple top-tier private equity firms. Over ten months, I worked on a total of seven private equity deals across the technology, auto, insurance, and retail sectors. This work involved managing direct reports and performing extensive research and analysis, including market sizing, growth forecasting, competitive benchmarking, financial modeling, consumer surveys, and expert interviews.

I consulted for three major West Coast gas and electric utilities across a broad range of strategic and operational issues. Several projects focused on increased adoption of renewable energy and/or smart grid technologies, usually to comply with increasingly stringent state and federal regulations. These included developing a long-term renewable energy strategy to help a northwestern utility meet its state Renewable Portfolio Standard, building a metrics dashboard to help a California utility track progress across its Transmission, Substation, and Distribution business units against the largest CapEx expansion plan in its history , and building a dynamic model to forecast U.S. electric utilities CapEx through 2020 across eight regions and five distinct policy scenarios, with insights reported to Bain's CEO.
