The future is behavioural. I firmly believe this! The very real problems we face now and will face in the future are somewhat, or wholly, a problem of behaviour. I also believe that my biggest offer is my skills in behaviour change, my deep understanding of the Future Generations Act (in Wales) and how we can apply its principles anywhere in the world to make extraordinary progress, and my relentless desire to constantly improve on my solutions to the problems I am trying to solve. Behaviour change is at the heart of everything we do. So many problems in the modern world are behavioural in nature. Climate change? We need to behave more sustainably. Obesity? We need to eat better foods. Housing crisis? We need to build more human-centred communities that work with our behaviours, not against them. We know the answers, but where we trip up is in how to get there. That's where behavioural psychology, and behaviour change, comes in. I see behavioural psychology as the future of innovation in the UK and the world. I've spent the last 10 years working across a wide range of areas applying advanced behavioural psychology to the problems we face including; health (food poverty, COVID), organisational development, recycling and waste, library returns, and even dog waste on footpaths! No problem is too big, or too trivial to benefit from behavioural psychology. It's imperative for me to work for an organisation with an understanding and respect for the power of behaviour change because simply put; behaviour change is my passion. I'm always looking for the best opportunities to bring real, lasting behaviour change to our world. I strive to bridge that gap between intention and action we all struggle with. I look for possibilities in the problems we all face. My recent experience with the Future Generations Leadership Academy has only further inspired me be a leader for change and bring a truly progressive and future-oriented perspective to all my work. My ability to bring together these threads; future orientation, behaviour change, a diverse set of experiences and skills, gives me the passion and drive to keep pushing forward, to pursue opportunities to make lasting, real change, and to offer enormous value to whatever project I am working on. I'm always open to talking about behaviour change, so if you want to know how behaviour change can benefit you please get in touch.
