About Phil Holley

I am a Business Systems Specialist with over 20 years’ experience in developing business solutions that provide rich, valuable data through analysis of relational and dimensional (OLAP) structures to enable informed business decision-making and detailed financial management.I am currently known most for my SQL Server and IBM Cognos expertise with both Business Intelligence and Enterprise Planning toolsets. Utilising these skills I am able to provide projects with a technical understanding which, when aligned with an empathy with the relevant human challenges of a delivery team, allows implementation of associated good practice which result in avoiding the potential pitfalls that could affect forward progress. I have worked on many varied projects, across industries, and in functions across the development cycle from project planning through to delivery and use the knowledge attained to drive rapid, superior system development. Additionally,I am therefore able to build strong working relationships with both project delivery teams and the business stakeholders themselves, to ensure that there is a detailed, trusted dialogue between both sets of parties. This ultimately provides a unity towards a shared goal and fosters the development of much more effective systems.I operate as an independent contractor, with projects including the consolidation of data reporting for Actavis to provide a consolidated data platform from which the success of sales launch activity could be assessed, and the creation of dashboards & data rich reports for Stemcor which allowed extraction of hitherto unavailable monthly data figures.Specialities: Master Data Management, Data Warehousing, ETL, Dashboards & Visualisation •• Cognos Business Intelligence v7.2 – 10.2, Cognos Enterprise Planning Analyst & Contributor, •• OLAP,SQL Server 2000 – 2012,•• Stakeholder & Vendor Management, Business Analysis
