I manage all facets of daily IT operations; and oversee management, security, strategy and delivery of IT systems and infrastructure while delivering new technical solutions and implementing information technology systems and policies in-line with company goals. I also direct a 23-member team across multiple locations; manage annual budgets; and monitor and maintain infrastructure of nine datacenters nationally. Key contributions include: -Reducing a backlog of 2,000 tickets weekly to 15 tickets weekly This was accomplished by decreasing overall outage incidents by 64% by boosting team morale. -Partnering with stakeholders to close over 17k vulnerabilities annually. -Leading infrastructure upgrade project from VMWare ESXi 5.5 to 6.7. -Reducing major outage incidents by 67% year-on-year and mean time to repair (MTTR) by 70%. To achieve this, I standardized, documented and monitored infrastructure.

I provided technical direction and leadership across network functions virtualization (NFV) environments build-out and setup for our partner lab. This included designing and implementing infrastructure, network, VMWare, Windows, VPN, and firewalls. I also assisted with budget planning; collaborated with internal and external teams; and mentored junior staff.Key contributions include: -Leading the design and set up of central virtual centers. -Designing, installing, and maintaining VMWare ESXi 5.5/6.5 environments within two 700VM-datacenters comprising 20 hosts. -Administering VMWare NSX, VMWare Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Director, vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize Log Insight, and vRealize Orchestrator.

I installed, supported, and maintained servers and computer systems while assessing the existing systems and proposing hardware/software and firmware upgrades; and configured and established standards for remote site hardware. Key contributions include:-Designing the global DFS structure. -Defining and writing best practices documentation. -Providing training on troubleshooting, virtualization, and storage environment.

During my tenure, I directed an 18-member team of engineers; managed annual department budgets of $10M~$14M while planning IT infrastructure pertaining to server and storage solutions; and managed multiple projects concurrently while ensuring a manageable ticket queue. Additionally, I played an integral role in the planning and creation of the disaster recovery and business continuity plan for the organization’s information technology. Key contributions and accomplishments include: -Directing a datacenter migration comprised of 40k end-users, 1,500+ VMs, 250 physical servers, and 5 multi-rack SANs. I executed this migration project flawlessly over a weekend and with no business downtime. -Spearheading the Office 365 rollout for all users; and partnering with internal teams to centralize server infrastructure into three core datacenters. -Setting up a VMWare ESX environment for server consolidation.
