As a full-stack developer (Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JS/JQuery, Liferay Portal, XML, SOAP, SQL, Velocity) I provided a variety of development and support functions for UTi Worldwide’s public web site, their corporate intranet as well as the Liferay portal on which both applications were built. Was principally responsible for application development, (both custom development as well as the customization of the underlying Liferay code base), full MVC application design, RDBMS table design (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL), UI), application support (portal administration, content maintenance, etc.), server support (Tomcat/JBoss, Apache web), end-user support for international business partners/end-users. Also participated in business analysis/requirements gathering, technical documentation, testing, business-partner/end-user training, web analytics (piwik/google). Developed cusom integrations with internal systems (Documentum DMS, shipment tracking, office locations) and external systems (Pardot, Kanbanize). Participated in four complete site redesigns (including a mobile redesign of the public website). Maintanted the corporate Documentum DMS instance for over a year until a dedicated team could take over responsiblities.

Lead developer for the web portion (Java, JSP, HTML, CSS) for PIB (Premier Internet Banking) one of FIS’ online banking applications. Responsible for working with internal management resources along with customers to coordinate, design and develop enhancements, customizations, writing program specifications as well as maintenance tasks. Was the point representative for development for most PIB (web portion) production issues. Lead developer for the integration of PassMark 2.3/Adaptive Authentication 6.0 (a SOAP-enabled, risk-based authentication and fraud detection platform developed by RSA) into the web portion of PIB. Coordinated development scheduling as well as developer tasks, aided in the design as well as the development/enhancement/maintenance of the PIB/PassMark interface. Was the point person representing development for all PassMark related production issues.Developer for the SSO Concentrator (SSOC) a C# .Net based interface to outside vendors of peripheral banking software such as check imaging, e-statements, check re-order applications, etc. Responsibilities included co-designing and developing many the SSOC administrative pages as well as deveoping functional modules used in the execution of the individual SSOs. Also served as one of the points of contact for many production related issues.Developer for the Host Interface Client (HIC) a C++ based interface between online banking web/mobile applications and a variety of bank core systems from a variety of vendors. Responsibilities were mostly enhancement and maintenance tasks.Developer for the XML Server a C++ based interface between the PIB online banking application as well as the HIC. Responsible for the design, programming, and maintenance of two web-based ordering and retail management applications for two websites. The first was a Java-based, three-tier site modeled on the MVC architecture. The other site was a more two-tier model based on VB, VB Script, ASP with a decidedly mainframe/COBOL backend. With both sites I was involved in the complete SDLC and involved in the design and development of front-end UI (HTML, JavaScript/VB Script/ASP, etc.) through to the middle-ware (Java, EJB, VB), business logic as well as data access and utility objects. To accomplish these tasks I utilized such languages/tools as: Java, JavaScript, J2EE,, Servlets, CSS, SQL, Farpoint grids, Websphere, EJB, OO techniques, UML, HTML, ASP, Visual Basic, VB Script, DB2 Stored procedures, COBOL along with various support tools such as Visual InterDev, WSAD, and Rational Clear Case. Was involved in the complete design process from systems analysis, object design and relational table design to programming, SQL design and testing. Examples of systems include (but are not limited to): mass-ordering applications for Ace retailers; vendor change applications allowing retailers to change portions of their inventory from one vendor (including item history, etc.) to another; application specific security (user security within the site); item search functionality. Was also responsible for the design and maintenance of online ordering applications using ASP, Visual Basic, VB Script, CSS, HTML, Farpoint grids, SQL and COBOL in addition to writing, maintaining, and testing new as well as legacy mainframe applications (see below). Responsible for writing, maintaining and testing new as well as legacy mainframe applications using JCL, COBOL, IMS, VSAM, Netron, and SQL (DB2) along with various mainframe utilities. Primary focus was batch system support for retail store operations.
