I started my career in as a PhD student in theoretical physics where I worked onsoftware models of stellar systems, on systems like Cray, Convex, Solaris, BSD, and Linux,Solaris. Later as an engineer in San Diego and Austin, I had the opportunity to work onremote sensing, signal processing, feature extraction using Perl, C++, and otherlanguages.I Later founded Fortuitous Technologies, working on Linux deployment,administration, optimization, DevOps, and training.In prior years I have been a full-time Software Engineering in Python, Golang,Rust, micro-services and other backend technologies.I led led software teams at Zapata Computing and Fortuitous onprojects like high-speed data IO with Apache Flight, GCP cloud migrations,AWS cloud development, platform prototyping, and general software engineering.Recently I have been working on restructuring Fortuitous Technologies as a modern cloud and software engineering group specializing in:* Rust, Golang, Python development* DevOps with Terraform and Ansible* CICD design and solution* Cloud and Microservices
