Project Work:I have recently been selected to join a process improvement project due to my knowledge of lean principles and process improvement. Here I am analyzing the line, using the half-spilt method (fault finding), and implementing damage prevention techniques as a cost saving and time reduction exercise. So far I have implemented a number of damage prevention techniques including redesigning a trolley after discovering that the jigs attached to the original trolley were damaging the vehicle’s. By implementing this new trolley design I prevented major damage which reduced production time, materials, labour and costs.I am also partaking in weekly update meetings with senior management teams to give an update on any changes and highlight concerns.
