My main area of research at Sandia National Labs is Quantum Information Science with an emphasis on theoretical and computational condensed matter physics. My career goal is to obtain a position where I will be able to use my knowledge and experience to research the forefronts of modern quantum information science and/or obtain a position where I work on a project I am passionate about. I obtained my Ph.D. through the Missouri University of Science and Technology and my MS through Delaware State University. My dissertation research was on the semi-empirical modeling of liquid carbon's containerless solidification. My thesis and currently ongoing research has been to solve noise issues in modern applications (such as quantum sensing/computing) and experiments of nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond. Before attending Delaware State University, I obtained a BS in Physics from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. At SIU-E I was an undergraduate teaching assistant for the physics department for 2 years. I was also able to acquire 2 years of experience in gathering and analyzing data while working on nonlinear optics research. Along with this research, I also attended a summer internship at OSCAR Labs where I worked in the biophotonic imaging lab.My first college degree is an associate's degree in Video Game Design from Lakeland Community College. Here I learned how to use different game design programming languages and 3D modeling tools such as Dark Basic, XNA, Maya, and the Unity 3D engine. Since then, I have tinkered with the Unreal Engine 4/5.The work I have done has allowed me to gain expertise in applying analytical and numerical techniques to practical applications and problem-solving. I have been able to gain real research experience that has allowed me to present data at multiple different conferences and publish it in multiple prestigious journals. I enjoy the environment of doing state-of-the-art research and enjoy the challenges it brings me. I hope to continue to tackle the problems in Quantum Sensing, Quantum Information Science, and Material and Quantum Materials Science and/or use my skills to help a team solve a problem to make something revolutionary.

Phd Research/Teaching AssistantUniversity Of Missouri-Saint Louis May 2018 - Dec 2021Greater St. Louis AreaI work as a research and teaching assistant. I lecture lab and supplemental discussion sections for the physics department. My research focus is in condensed matter physics which entails computational studies of low density elemental carbon and theoretical modeling of noise in nitrogen vacancy center diamonds. -
Graduate Research AssistantDelaware State University Aug 2016 - May 2018Dover, DelawareGraduate research assistant at Delaware State University. I worked on theoretical modeling of surface electric field noise in nitrogen vacancy center diamond systems. This was to solve a current problem for their applications in modern room temperature quantum information system applications. -
Undergraduate Research AssistantSouthern Illinois University Edwardsville Aug 2014 - May 2016Edwardsville, IlThe study of thermal lensing effects in castor oil using a pump-probe technique. A definite noticeable change in the index of refraction can be seen from thermal lensing and the Soret effect. -
