I am a 2017 Penn State/Behrend graduate with a B.S. /MET. (Mechanical Engineering Technology)In my senior year I was a teaching assistant in the Finite Element Analysis Lab.For the past five years, I have been working summers, weekends and holidays, while in college attaining my degree, at a screenprinting company in Linesville, PA. I have had the responsibility of training and supervising new employees, setting up jobs on the screen printing presses, and printing jobs according to work orders and project specs. I have also been responsible for equipment repairs and maintenance.For my senior design project I worked with a firm, Eriez Magnetics in Pennsylvania evaluating different design choices the company wanted to make. To do so, I used the ANSYS workbench program. The company was very satisfied with the results. I did other design and build projects through my senior year, for example building a pneumatic motor based off a design created by other students. I designed a gear box using the skills learned in my machine design class, and then made a 3-D model of it in Creo-Parametric. I have a pretty solid skill abilities using the ANSYS programs, MathCad, and also microsoft word, excell, etc. I consider myself a hard worker and fast learner, with the ability to remember and retain instructions easily. I've been told I am a good teacher, when working at PSU, and also when training new employees. I am able to convey information clearly and concisely.
