• Provide prompt in-patient and out-patient care including diagnosis and treatment for various diseases and injuries in General Practice in order to secure the health of staff and other personnel on board the barge and the fabrication yard when am in the yard.• Organise health talks at tool box meetings.• Coordinate regular health management audits in liaison with the quality management team so as to maintain standard of healthcare.• Skilled in Fitness to work and Drug & Alcohol testing.• Develop policies/guidelines and management protocols for the promotion of best practice in primary healthcare in the Company.• Present and coordinate safety orientation session for all persons arriving on the platforms,fabrication yard,barge, support vessels.• Maintain accurate medical records of personnel onboard; i.e. blood group, allergies, medical history, etc. Ensure that records accompany personnel in the event of a medical evacuation. • Ensure serviceability of all hospital and emergency medical equipment and take immediate steps to rectify any deficiencies.• Ensure good record keeping of medication and materials; check expiry dates and prepare requisition when required .• Maintain accurate record of controlled/dangerous drugs; ensure the security of these drugs and submit updated record to the HSE manager on a monthly basis.• Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical and clerical/administrative records under my care. Ensure that the data such as wages, employee addresses and telephone numbers are not released to unauthorized personnel.• Liaise with local or international shore-based medical facilities as and when required.• Perform weekly hygiene and safety inspections ensuring cleanliness and adequacy of all offices, accommodation, toilets, public bathrooms, cabins, storerooms, servicing of eye wash stations and first aid kits etc, report deficiencies to supervisor.• Participate in all emergency drills and respond to emergency situations as designated.
