I’m a ghostwriter, a novelist, and an ex screenwriter and script editor, with over 60 broadcast credits in both primetime and children’s TV drama.The last positions within the industry I held were head of development at Bentley Productions, script editor on the last series of New Tricks, and series script editor for CBBC’s The Dumping Ground, (for which we were given two BAFTA nominations, including best Childrens’ Drama, and a Writers Guild Award). I’ve written and developed both at the individual script level and at series construction for many of the UK's most loved TV shows. Over the years I've been commissioned by many people, including Russell T Davies, Tony Garnett, and Lynda La Plante.In 2007 I created the Screenwriting Goldmine writer training community. Initiatives included The Tribe, Open Door, and the Screenwriting Goldmine Awards. Screenwriting Goldmine closed in 2019. In another life, I worked in Artificial Intelligence research.
