Philip is the Director and Principal Designer at Studio Bloc, an award winning architectural design practice based in Shropshire, working all over the UK.After graduating from the University of Manchester with a BA Hons in Architecture, Philip then achieved a first class honours in his Masters in Architecture at the University of Liverpool, where he was awarded the Norwest Holst Prize for Practice Management and Law, and the T.S. Tyson prize for engagement with technology.Philip went on to gain a broad range of experience working in renowned architecture practices around the world. While working at the internationally acclaimed Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in Rotterdam, Philip worked on the design of large scale projects, including masterplanning in Qatar, Lab City Centrale Supélec, Paris and Bibliothèque Alexis de Tocqueville in Caen, France.More recently, Philip worked at an award-winning architects practice in Singapore, where he gained experience on a range of international projects, including boutique hotels, modern residential, retail and office spaces across Asia. Philip returned home to the North Shropshire countryside to establish Studio Bloc, where he now designs residential and commercial projects with a focus on imaginative contemporary design.
