At Supagas the CFO manage the complete Financial and Payroll function, the role also covers the additional responsibility of National Purchasing and the Administration of Accounts Receivable/Credit Control. Supagas is a national business with 40 operational branches distributing gas with a fleet of owned and contracted vehicles.Supagas was established in 1968 in Melbourne selling and refilling LPG Forklift gas, this business expanded into the states of SA/TAS/WA and NT. The growth continued in 1997 by entering the NSW/QLD states under a separate entity and ownership structure.As Supagas continued to grow the NSW/QLD entity was acquired in 2015 by Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC), the worlds 6th largest gas company, now known as Nippon Sanso. By 2016 Nippon Sanso had also acquired the remaining entities driving a business combination/integration process.During this journey as more products were added to the portfolio, the business quickly established itself as a reliable supplier across a range of products supplying LPG to the Commercial and Domestic markets including helium, hospitality, industrial, specialty and medical products to various industries and market sectors.

At the Tony Ferguson Group as CFO the role covered the complete Financial responsibility, IT systems, Merchandising and Supplier Relationships. During this period the business replaced the ERP system, implemented a business intelligence tool which revolutionised the management information and reporting in both quality and timeframes. I have been intimately involved with the international expansion into 2 green fields off shore ventures, negotiating contracts and the establishment of SLA’s with international business stakeholders

In Specialty Fashion Group (SFG) as Divisional CFO this included the integration of two acquired businesses as well as the vertical integration of the direct standalone supply business into the retail business, sourcing and implementation of a new ERP system, development of business improvement initiatives and managing the support services across various other functional areas.

In Coles Myer Liquor Group (CMLG) in addition to the finance position I played a pivotal role in accelerated growth projects performing due diligence work in business acquisitions which included asset takeovers and an on market takeover. This was followed by the integration of the acquired businesses into the core environment extracting the synergies that underpinned the acquisition. I was also involved in various capacities in business projects such as the implementation of GST, the development and rollout of a new point of sale system, Business and IT Disaster Recovery programs, the development of a perpetual stock ledger management system
