As the leader of the UK's largest dedicated Outdoor Education Department, I spearhead a team of 30 passionate professionals committed to delivering transformative experiences. Focusing on Outdoor and Adventurous Education, we impact the lives of over 2600 pupils spanning seven schools, from ages 3 to 16. We run over 250 sessions and deliver or support over 35 camps, trips or internationals each year.My role encompasses strategic planning, budget management, residential and offsite trip planning and delivery, curriculum development, and team management to ensure the seamless execution of our programs. I cultivate a collaborative environment where each team member's expertise is valued, fostering innovation and excellence in every aspect of our operations.From designing age-appropriate outdoor activities to implementing safety protocols, I prioritise the well-being and development of every student under our care. Through hands-on learning experiences, we instil confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the outdoors in each participant.I am dedicated to expanding access to outdoor education for Thomas’s Pupils, partnering with local experts and organisations to ensure a diverse range of experiences across our programme. Responsible for coordinating a large programme of UK based and International Camps and Expeditions. Working predominantly with Private sector schools based in the London area the Exploration Society delivers a wide variety of Outdoor learning and adventurous curriculum and residential programmes. Key responsibilities included ensuring that Camp Leaders are supported with robust logistics and contingency plans, liaising with school contacts over the progress of planning for camps.

Working for the UK’s first employee-led mutual youth service was responsible for the strategic direction of two outdoor education centres, a commercial kayaking tour operation and a Duke of Edinburgh Award department. Working closely with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to deliver their commissioned model of youth services in the borough.- Kayaking London: London's largest commercial kayaking tour operator with circa 1200 customers a year, I am solely responsible for the delivery and performance of all aspects of the brand. http://www.kayakinglondon.com/- Canalside & Cremorne Outdoor Education Centres: Managing a diverse and busy seven days a week outdoor provision aimed at increasing opportunities for the local youth. A staff team of 18 deliver Kayaking, Canoeing, Bellboating, Climbing and Powerboating to council commissioned groups.

Responsible for all waterside activities at the busiest watersports centre in London I co-ordinated, recruited, managed and developed a team of instructors and volunteers.Notable Successes included:1. Multiple successful grant and sponsorship bids to develop subsidised youth participation across the centre's charitable activities.2. The creation and implementation of a Windsurfing Development Plan that saw a significant increase in qualified staff and participation levels over a sustained period.3. Successful partnership work with Local Schools, the Local Council and the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation to create a fully subsidised long-term inner city sailing offer.

My role was to oversee the development of the kayaking and canoeing at Docklands, Manage a diverse staff team and lead on the strategic direction of Paddlesports at the Centre.

Tasked with supporting the development of university sailing in London and the Thames Valley I worked one day a week enabling university clubs to develop strategies to increase regular participation and increase their membership base.
