Netherlands Investment Institution (NLII) was established to enable institutional investors such as pension funds and insurers to invest directly in the Dutch economy. NLII assesses the financing needs within different sectors of the Dutch economy and determines whether financing by institutional investors can meet these needs. NLII structures the financing, e.g. in the form of a fund, to ensure that demand for financing matches the investment profile of institutional investors. Thus creating an investment with sufficient scale and the desired risk-return profile.
