Having been with Gastec training for multiple years as part of the family, looking after all aspects of Gastec training centres, whether online or in-house, with our modern training facilities, I have seen my fair share of the training and assessments industry.My role, and the same as anyone at Gastec, is not a label but a multi-skilled asset. Ensuring that every member of our staff is trained up to the highest standard and branched out to full potential. There is always time for a laugh in our centre, and I am constantly on the lookout for new trainers wishing to get off the tools or progress into a friendly business (Hint hint to any commercial gas trainers out there currently!).My role within Gastec is massively varied and vibrant, from giving career advice and having a laugh at trade shows to setting up new courses and looking after the team. One day, I could be redesigning the whole website with a team, and the next will be designing an online training platform for new starts. One thing I'm certain of is that I take great pride in my family business and ensure that every person through my doors is treated professionally. Anyone who has met me at a show or in-house will know I'm not known for being very quiet, so don't be shy about reaching out!From a gas engineering background and with a passion for modern technologies, I have pushed forward with putting on new training courses for the current heat pump rollout alongside government incentives. I firmly believe and am excited to see hydrogen’s role in the coming decades.
