Principal It Security Analyst
CurrentResponsibilities include but not limited to:Management and technical work supporting the implementation and maintenance of information security policies, practices, procedures, and technologies in order to ensure the threat management of networks, systems, applications, and data.Strong leadership skills and thorough knowledge of threat intelligence, threat modeling, and security analytics. Proactively seeking out indicators of compromise that conventional cybersecurity processes cannot find, and track threats and campaigns aimed at the County. Working with stakeholders from across the County to identify, monitor, assess and counter cyber threats.Creates hypotheses for analytics and testing of threat data. Conducts threat assessments to identify what threats are most likely to target the County, and illustrate how the threat actor would execute.Develops and maintains metrics for measurement of success and failure of IT risk and compliance.Identifies recommendations for improvements to IT controls, threat management, and related processes.
