TAB - Test Adjust and Balance field since 1990.While still in High School, my future father-in-law took me out on a large scale commercial TAB job. I was amazed at what went into the building process. I probably asked him a hundred questions that day and met one of my best friends still to this date. I was so impressed with this field of work on my first day seeing it that I decided this was what I wanted to do and set forth on a great journey. I asked Roy how do I get a job doing this? He laughed and informed me that I knew nothing of the mechanical field. That he was a Professional Engineer and that was how he got into this field and suggested that if I were serious about the possibility, then I should go to college like a few others had done and learn how everything works. So I took his advise and attended Sac City College and took the Mechanical Electrical Technology course. I also worked with my father-in-law & brother-in-law every chance I got. After completion of college, I got a job doing installs and after six months, I called up the union hall and asked how do I become an apprentice? They gave a test once a year at that time and I went and took the test and was accepted. Through the union I served my apprenticeship in building trades and took their TABB courses. From their I became a journeyman and worked in some amazing places and with amazing fellows.
