Phil has over a decade of technology experience in strategic, operational, corporate development and venture, and investment banking roles. He most recently joined the Corporate Development team at Google covering Cloud, Ads, and Commerce following business school at Stanford GSB and Corporate Development at New Relic (NYSE: NEWR).Prior to the GSB, Phil spearheaded Corporate Development and Strategy at Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD), where he was responsible for driving the company's inorganic growth strategy through acquisition and investment, partnership discussions, and operational initiatives across product and sales. Phil joined Cornerstone from Pacific Crest Securities (acquired by KeyBanc), where he helped the San Francisco office raise over $2.5B in capital for SaaS, eCommerce and tech-enabled services companies, including companies such as ExactTarget, Proofpoint, ServiceNow, Splunk, Tableau, Workday, and Zendesk. Phil led analysis for Pacific Crest's thought leadership report around private SaaS company operating metrics, extracting key insights from the responses of multiple leading private SaaS companies. Phil began his career at Samsung's manufacturing facilities in Austin when they first began producing Flash memory domestically, and helped the plant achieve higher production yield than its Korean counterparts within the first year of operations.
