Over a three year period I designed and managed an international recruitment program directed at significantly building senior specialists engineering and project management staff numbers and capabilities for Doosan Power Systems.Working with the companies management teams in the UK, India and US I also provided recommendations for process outsourcing and integration for operations in the UK, India and the US. Recruitment efforts were concentrated in India, Eastern Europe, China and the US. More than a hundred highly skilled staff members were recruited many making international moves to take up new posts with their families.

With Shell my primary focus was the implementation of the Middle East Power and Water project, Core Venture 3. CV3 was a proposed $2B combined power and desalinated water project in the KSA undertaken on a consortium basis lead by Shell Gas and Power together with Total and ConocoPhillips. My role was technical team leadership working in an IWPP development environment. With Shell I also managed gas fired power project development in China.

Technical team leader for IPP power projects in Egypt, Turkey, India, Spain, Germany, and Belgium. Negotiating EPC contracts, power purchase agreements, obtaining project permits and approvals. Developing optimum technical solutions, and business model inputs for capital and operating costs. Working closely with legal and financial advisers and lenders engineers. Hiring and supervising specialists consultants involved in all aspects of project development up to and beyond financial close.
