Philip M. Parker, PhD (Wharton), INSEAD Chair Professor of Management Science.I have lectured at Stanford, MIT, Harvard, UCLA; founder/CEO of ICON Group International, Inc. (automated publisher of high end industry studies and educational books for underserved languages); I have spoken at a number of university seminars, and Davos, G8, White House, TEDx (Seattle); patented automated content engines (Patent US7266767B2 ). I have developed a number of AI-based educational platforms using automation technologies or "content engines" which have been applied to create dashboards, AI Learning Hubs and special interest search engines (e.g. PROTA4U, dealing with bio-diversity). These have been applied in projects sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Africa, Asia and the Latin America, especially generating content in underserved languages and/or formats (text, audio and video). Client organizations have included the Grameen Foundation and Farm Radio International, as well as various international development agencies.With a very talented team over the years, we have implemented a number of business model innovations, rapid prototyping and massive roll outs. For example, we created mobile telephone educational content platforms for various telcos, universities and value-added sellers. We have started a number of projects in Africa, North America and Asia. One of these generates educational materials targeting underserved languages using machine learning technologies. Botipedia.org is a recent project (algorithmic encyclopedia generating billions of articles in 109 languages). Totopoetry.com is a similar project (all words in the dictionary are defined by poems). Language learning and mathematics text books have been similarly created and distributed by members of Rotary International.I teach in INSEAD’s MBA, EMBA, PhD and executive courses on “AI Strategy for Startups and the C-Suite“. I have taught a number of professional services firms including McKinsey & Company, PWC and Strategy&, among others. I have worked with multinational companies to develop or present AI-based and/or other strategies including Google, Jardine Matheson, Tata Group, Citibank, ABB, Ericsson, T Mobile, and Unilever to name a few. I have published econometric papers in a variety of academic journals, including the Rand Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Forecasting, among others.I am a resident of Singapore.
