As a co-founder of Pyrogen, we are on a journey to decarbonise the built environment across Africa by producing products manufactured using our patented low-carbon concrete mixes. We remove carbon at the same time as reducing the use of cement - an industry that contributes 8% of global emissions. I have over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, spanning oil and gas, power infrastructure, renewables, commodities, and carbon projects. I have lived and worked in seven different countries, including Syria, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Kenya, where I am now based since 2015. I am passionate about finding and creating opportunities that are sustainable, innovative, and impactful, and working with people who share the same interests and values. I am also a member of Scio Network, an advisory hub and solutions lab that leverages a community of dynamic professionals with diverse expertise in international development cooperation.
