Having over 12 years fibre splicing experience in the field, project management, fibre planning and managing a team of up to 8 junior splicers. Working on all sizes of builds from small single business and MDU networks to large FTTH networks, large industrial projects and all other types of overhead and underground fibre networks. Experience in 4G/5G small cell fibre networks, installation of new builds and fault rectification. A deep knowledge of OTDR testing using EXFO FTB-200, FTB-400 and the VIAVI testing units. Prior to that spending 12 years as an Avionics technician and supervisor, specialising in Thermal imaging, laser guidance, and also qualified in communication systems, radar and flight systems on various fast jet systems including the Tornado GR7 and Harrier GR9.

Managed a team of up to 8 junior splicers, interpreting designs, carrying out the necessary work required, testing, troubleshooting and rectifying issues that same day. Working day shift, night shift or extended shifts in order to complete the task and also act as the Fibre Splicing Manager whenever the need arose. Solely managed the 4G small cell network installation from start to finish for the entire Vancouver area over a period of 8 years, which included the maintenance contract post installation of each site, also carrying out trials with the Telus engineers for the upcoming 5G upgrade package. And have also completed the fibre installation and commissioning for various Wind Farm projects around the province.
