I am a certified flight paramedic. I have been in EMS for the past six years. I have spent four years as a paramedic working on a ground ambulance for past six years. My current time is spent working in the HEMS environment switching between the rotor and fixed-wing aircraft. We respond to scene flight emergencies and inter-facility transfers. Working hand in hand with ground services is a necessity. We respond to critically ill patients moving them to the correct level of care.
