Created and maintained two year operational budget forecasts, and conducted quarterly refreshes along with monthly variance analysis, as well as risk and opportunity evaluations. Conducted operational planning and scheduling of work crews in Louisiana for the Deepwater Horizon response, as well as all associated reporting to ensure operational requirements and leadership objectives were met. Operational costs exceeded $200 million over 18 months and involved over 2,000 personnel, 450 vessels, 5 staging areas, and 43 areas of operation. Developed presentations and responses to requests for information from the Leadership Team, other business units, and external entities (federal and state representatives, community leaders, external counsel). Managed state-wide planning team, and ensured their continued professional development and delivering excellence to those we engaged with, and emphasized the need for safe operations. Streamlined the Louisiana planning organization within the Deepwater Horizon response through the consolidation of activities, deliverables and the identification and elimination of redundancies, while improving quality and developing best practices.Achievements• Developed the defining metric used to determine end points for areas to be moved out of the response. • Promoted to progressively high positions 7 times over the course of the response.• Developed an Excel based dashboard to generate reports used for Operations performance analysis and forecasting operational triggers based on trends, regression analysis and operational input.
