Reporting to the Assistant Director, Consultancy, I lead Growing Support team for the Midlands & East Region. The highly skilled team of internal consultants I support includes; fundraising and grants, philanthropy, on property fundraising membership, service internal communications and marketing and communications. Direct responsibility for external resourcing to support this work, procuring architectural, building and conservation support as required. ● Led the Experience Design process for two major investment programmes in the Peak District Portfolio to develop the visitor experience, and secondary spend commercial business, to build a sustainable income and growth potential. ● Strategic lead for service culture in the Midlands, leading and directing the delivery of the the Trust’s national service strategy in the Midlands and contributing to developing national strategy.
Visitor Experience Consultant
Lead for visitor experience with primary focus on the outdoors and nature engagement. Worked to deliver support and expertise in audience insight to properties in the East Midlands, working closely with curators, conservation, membership and commercial consultants, supporting operational colleagues to deliver visitor growth, visitor programming, secondary spend.● Led projects utilising the Experience Design process; improving the visitor experience and infrastructure development at three flagship property portfolios resulting in visitor and income growth. ● Provided a consultancy service in visitor experience. Led research and analysis of audience insight to interpret visitor needs in order to develop the visitor experience at three flagship portfolios● Worked with other consultants to support and develop experiences that experiences that reflect the significance and relevance of each place, focus on access and everyone welcome. ● Strategic lead for service culture in the Midlands, representing the region at national level. ● Facilitated, coached and trained professional teams (property staff and volunteers, other consultants) to enhance skills and transfer knowledge to build capability and understanding locally in order that properties can become more self-reliant.
Project Manager
Led the project management team working on the acquisition and development of Stoneywell, an Arts & Crafts property in Leicestershire, into a fully operational business model from concept stage to implementation in 2013/14. • Led the acquisition of the property, change of use, development of the Client Brief, Business Case Managed the procurement of internal and external consultancy resource with budget responsibility for the £1.48m project fund. • I oversaw successful external bids for individual donations in excess of £200k and facilitated private donor and fundraising events.
