In addition, researched and negotiated pricing with Medical Insurance carrier. • Manages administrators to ensure compliance with benefit plan provisions, performance oversight, operational compliance, change management and problem resolution.• Implements new benefit outsourcing vendors impacting both Health & Welfare and Retirement Benefits.• Collaborates with functional departments (Payroll/IT/Controllers/HR) to implement benefit program changes. • Updates participant communication materials which included but not limited to SPDs, SBCs and SMM.• Reviews and analyze data trends to better assess the needs for cost effective plan design changes.• Provides leadership to HR professionals which included but not limited to conducting performance evaluation, addressing employee relations, coaching and career development. • Ensures compliance with ERISA, Federal and State laws, ACA, COBRA, HIPPA and FMLA• Conducts audits to ensure that all plans and policies are administered appropriately.• Address administrative and employee’s questions in accordance with benefit plan provisions and policies.• Reconciles invoices and benefits accounts from 3rd party providers.• Executes and guides staff through annual/new hire benefits enrollment activities• Manages third party administrators and monitored performance metrics, operational compliance, change management and provided problem resolution.• Consults with Legal, Tax, Payroll and Finance professional on plan eligibility, design, regulatory issues and ensured compliance with ERISA, PRIRC, HIPPA, FMLA and COBRA Laws.• Collaborates with plan Actuaries, ERISA Attorneys, and Internal Auditors, ensuring administrative and regulatory compliance for benefit-related plans and programs.
