My most recent move has been back to the family farm, in Buckinghamshire to take on a new challenge managing the day to day business operations, whilst (hopefully) enabling my parents to step back from work, and step forward into retirement. Alongside this I retain strong links with the educational environment, having had the pleasure of working with young people in a number of different contexts over the last 10 years. Teaching is a real passion of mine and creating enthusiasm for Geography and Geology, whilst developing young people's confidence and skills is a real honour. Most recently, I have managed Geography Departments, and held responsibilities in the boarding environment (Assistant Housemaster) and extra curricular environment (Head of Football and Gold D of E) too. I have examined for a number of exam boards, and assisted in specification creation/course content. My educational life is now on a Freelance basis alongside farming. I am very excited to be drawing on my experiences to support new teachers on the University of Buckingham PGCE / MEd programmes, whilst assisting with their assessments and moderation. In my free time I continue my interest in the outdoors, particularly mountaineering, having gained a number of outdoor based qualifications over the years I am now working towards my Winter Mountain Leader qualification. Alongside this, I very much enjoy engaging with my subject still, and pursuing my interests in gardening, woodland ecology and geology.
