I started my life in the automotive industry in 1997 as a trainee sales executive for Evans Halshaw Ford. Having enjoyed my experience there I then decided that I would like to be involved in the premium sector and secured myself a position as a sales executive for Chandlers BMW in 1999. I stayed with Chandlers for 4 years 7 months but wanted to progress my career into management. The opportunities at Chandlers were limited at the time which led me to acquire a position with a larger company. I joined Harwoods group in 2004 as a sales executive at their Jaguar/Aston Martin dealership in Chichester. I worked at Chichester for 4 years and was then offered the position as sales manager for their busy Land Rover dealership in Coulsdon in 2008. I enjoyed my time immensely in this roll and celebrated success with marked increases in both unit volumes, profitability and customer service. Due to my success at Coulsdon I was then offered a role as Head of Business for their latest acquisition Jaguar Brighton in 2011. This role gave me the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the entire business from staff motivation and management to business strategy, planning and P&L.
