In this role I taught BSc level classes on:(1)Georesources - geological ore formation models and hand specimen petrography(2)Basic mapping techniques - reading geological maps, taking field measurements, and integration between 2D and 3D(3)Computer-based mapping techniques - basic understanding of the software package Move (data import, data handling and modification, basic 2D and 3D operations)

In this role:I identified the composition and origin of clay-alteration zones in iron oxide apatite ore bodies in order to improve the efficiency of mineral processing.

In this role:I supported the mineral processing engineers with geological and technical literature reviews and in the setup of intermediate-scale pilot processing plants.

In this role:I gained hands-on experience in open-pit mining operations and manoeuvring heavy vehicles.

In this role:I contributed to a pilot project to conduct a regional geochemical soil survey (Otago and Southland, New Zealand); this involved constant QAQC to advance strategies for fieldwork and sample preparation.
