Position: Group Fitness Manager Reporting to: Managing DirectorI was responsible for deploying an education strategy to ensure all staff was trained to the highest standard, able to identify and evaluate potential risks, and adhered to health and safety practices. I also took responsibility for the transfer of knowledge to customers and employees in use of exercise equipment and other exercise tools to meet goal, treatment, rehab plans. Another crucial component to my role was the recruitment, development, mentoring, retention and leading of a high performing health and fitness workforce. Responsibilities• Recruitment, development, coaching, mentoring, and leading a high performing health and fitness workforce. • Development of exercise framework using innovative technology and tools to improve health target performance and delivery.• Maintaining a Group Fitness timetable which had 70+ classes per week• Development/Assessment/Facilitation of Instructors.• Facilitating and implementing conflict resolution.• Business and policy process development and promotion. Achievements• Developed and implement business processes in accordance with best practice compliance and health and safety standards.• Implementation of resource strategy resulted in reduced turnover of gym staff.• I had two instructors gain Group Fitness Instructor of the Year awards.• I had the highest participation rates the club had ever seen, and still unbeaten to this day.• A clean Health and Safety record with no serious harm injuries (to both instructors and members).
