Collaborate with USAID Missions and across U.S. Government offices and agencies to help agricultural sectors recover from conflict, catastrophic events or state fragility: Afghanistan proposal development (2013); Pakistan, development of new agricultural strategy (2011); Bangladesh, assessment of food security and agricultural productivity options (2009); Zimbabwe, terms of reference for Multi-donor Trust Fund Agricultural Sector Assessment (2008); Burundi, agribusiness and value chains project design (2006-07); South Sudan, team leader, food security assessment (2007); Northern Sudan, assessment of livelihoods and markets programming options in Darfur conflict (2005); and Ethiopia, value chain project design (2004).

Proposed a communications strategy using an effective mix of written reports, verbal presentations and website options to communicate early warning information and food security scenarios and outcomes. Developed and produced new demand-driven information products and presentations varying by content, length, format, frequency, user requirements and user seniority. Helped develop decision-oriented FEWS Net alerts. Posted final communications on the FEWS NET website.
