About Philip Turner

I have a multidisciplinary, natural sciences background in research, with an extensive track record in plant sciences and the forest-based sector. Over the last decade my research interests have increasingly evolved to focus on fundamental research in biophysics and condensed matter, which link Quantum Field Theory and thermodynamics with macroscopic quantum effects such as super conductivity, quantum biology, and the self-assembly of biopolymers within the plant cell wall and more general plant growth. This work is leading to new insights into biological systems, which inform the assembly of both organic and inorganic matter and the future development of new materials.
