I am an experienced Railway worker with a demonstrable history of working in the Railway industry. My skill set includes, Sales, Conflict Resolution, Customer Service Operations, and Road/Rail Traffic Regulation and rules. I am also fully qualified to drive passenger trains and I currently drive various traction types on the Great Western Mainline throughout the Southwest and South Wales. My skills also incorporate investigative knowledge through my broad experience in police and criminal Justice cases at low to mid levels prior to handing off to specialists in the specific fields required if necessary. I am an experienced emergency worker and handle fluid and dynamic emergency situations well. My experiences in these areas range from small to large disorders, minor to major road traffic collisions including serious and fatal incidents as an emergency first responder, amongst a myriad of other investigations and incidents commonly, and not so commonly found in the Police role. I have a honed knowledge of initial investigation and scene security at minor to major incidents and have pursued lots of cases to succesful conclusion. I am an experienced and enthusiastic mediator and representative having covered local staff representative roles for both the RMT and ASLEF unions and as a Health and Safety representative currently, with ASLEF. This has enabled me to have the opportunity to see both sides of investigations within the rail network and understand why they happen and why decisions are made and how evidence is obtained and used within those decisions. It has also provided me with an insight into how various teams mesh and come together to understand why things happen and how to move forward in addressing any risks and how to mitigate them. I am keen to expand my knowledge of investigative work in the health and safety discipline and further my skills through my experience and willingness to learn how they can be succesfully applied in my industry. I am known for my ability to see potential for litigation both for and against cases and have traits for navigating through them by being objective and impartial.
