I manage and operate the Privacy function at TCH and provide legal analysis and guidance related to HIPAA and privacy-related matters. I lead the Privacy Office in evaluation of potential breaches, investigations, training around the organization, reporting to the Office for Civil Rights, and reporting to Board Committees. I am also a liaison to the Legal Department when legal advice related to privacy matters is necessary and assist in the management of the internal operations of the Compliance Department.

I also consult on various Data Protection capabilities that help bolster a more efficient and effective data lifecycle.

I'm a Privacy & Security professional with specialized experience in HIPAA compliancy programs, identity access management, data governance, and other information system security protocols. I have experience working with the largest hospital system in Houston during a Corrective Action Plan agreed upon with the Office for Civil Rights|Health and Human Services. Amongst the mandated requirements, I've helped facilitate revised training for over 30,000 individuals, aggregated contact information for over 400 facilities, helped manage over 600 reported incidents, and assisted with completing reporting requirements. To be able to reach our goals, I've collaborated with many internal departments including our ISD, Learning & Development, Human Resources, and facility leadership.I'm also redeveloping risk management and audit plans, revitalizing the monitoring program, developing risk assessment tools, and configuring our incident management platform.

Uchi-Houston I started my journey being a stage working throughout the kitchen, absorbing as much knowledge as possible. I was then stationed as Garde Manager where I was able to train and improve kitchen efficiency. I moved to the Tempura station where we practiced genuine tempura techniques and supporting the sushi and hot food's stations. This is the highest volume location serving over 450 patrons nightly on the weekends.
