• Performs maintenance, calibration, acceptance inspections, technical inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, overhaul, and surveillance testing of electronic components based on regulatory guidance. • Observes general clinical engineering practices and respective departmental policies and procedure to promote the overall efficiency of repair service and operations for the Biomedical Engineering Department. • Aid and in-service training, setup, calibration, operation, and application to clinical staff. • Resolve complex systems such as electrical, electronic, computer operating, mechanical, physical, and chemical components. • Performs Preventive maintenance inspections. Verifies, calibrates, and certifies proper operation of all biomedical equipment in assigned facilities. Restores equipment to manufacturers' specifications. Works with clinical personnel to correct operator-based problems. Uses knowledge and experience to test and maintain biomedical instrumentation not having specific maintenance procedures. • Responds to work requests, troubleshoots malfunctions and makes the necessary repairs in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

• Research, escalate, or resolve issues in collaboration with Palo Alto Zingbox (product team) SMEs. • Possess an understanding of the as-is architecture of all systems in the program or the ability to quickly come up to speed in this area. • Ability to work with a blended team of system administrators, network administrators, 3rd party engineers and VA staff to escalate and resolve issues. • Research complex issues across multiple databases and work with support resources to resolve customer issues and/or partner with others to resolve escalated issues. • Review backlog of issues in the support queue and be able to reprioritize items in the backlog with client expectations. • Provide technical support for VA Enterprise Architecture review meetings and decisions. • Perform system gap analysis to identify areas where the system can add additional value and incorporate results into the system design.

In my role as Metrology Technician III: I oversee calibration and service as per in-house/site procedures in compliance with calibration standards while providing technical support for calibration processes/procedures. To maintain seamless functioning, I calibrate instruments approved for autoclaves, incubators, freezers, refrigerators, BMS/BAS systems, bioreactors, AHUs, CIP/SIP systems, RODI systems, WFI systems, utility systems, and fermenters. I also facilitate equipment and facilities qualification as well as programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers along with process and environmental monitoring systems. My key accomplishments include: • Enabled manufacturers to start process early by ensuring timely calibration of medical equipment. • Achieved multiple awards due to exceptional performance and subject matter expertise.

In my role as a Biomedical Technician II: For seamless functioning of biomedical equipment, I used traditional engineering practices for analysis and troubleshooting on design, development, and safety testing. I also repaired, installed, and calibrated medical equipment, instrumentation, and systems while monitoring external vendors during preventative maintenance activities. I carried out technical inspections on new, used, and reconditioned military equipment. To expedite testing and evaluations of applicability to laboratory needs, I led the investigation of sources of needed equipment. I ensured robust maintenance of TMDE. My key accomplishments include: • Offered technical expertise and specific plans to create, interpret, and define operations of maintenance policy. • Improved compliance of biomedical equipment with federal, state, and applicable regulatory requirements, implementing quality control standards, managing budget, and strengthening vendor relationships. • Supported chemists to finish COVID testing by getting all equipment out for calibration before expiry.
