Provided VTAM and TCP/IP system support running under OS/390 1.2 thru z/OS V1.10 operating systems. Lead technician over a staff of three network systems programmers providing communications systems support for four operating system LPARs. Systems support responsibilities included TCP/IP, VTAM, Sterling Connect Direct, Northridge Network Director and CA Teleview session managers, NetView, Netmaster, Channel Extensions, Cluster controllers, IBM and NCR Comten FEPs, and OSA adapters.Provided system support SMP/E installation for other communication products such as NetView, Exigence, Implex, DB2 Connect, Omegamon, IMS and DB2 BMC utilities.Performed SMP/E installation and implementation of the Levi Ray and Shoupe VTAM Printer Support (VPS) software suite. This included project planning, installation, testing, conversion and production implementation of VPS and DRS printers supporting three hundred plus remote offices and or CICS applications.In conjunction with Comm Server support duties, acted as project manager of the CICS 2.3 to CICS 3.2 conversion project. Developed the project plans and performed the SMP/E installation, testing and customization of twenty four existing CICS regions and six new regions for new developing projects. This project was the largest, most complex CICS upgrade done there in years. This included a complete cleanup of all the Pepco and ACE/DPL environments. Implemented new shared CSDs and initialization and startup parms. Decommissioned the DADS product with new FCT tables and the implementation of auto-install for programs and terminals as well.In support of the IMS and DB2 v10 projects, successfully managed the BMC Utilities Projects. Researched all of the products to determine the compatibility with IMS and DB2 v10. Installed them into the SMP/E clusters and performed the required customization and testing of the products.
