A quick summary..Basically I've worked in many roles in since Uni, generally focussed on or around application development, mainly on IBM Mainframe (zOS) systems to start with, then later with Java platforms. I've worked in various locations in Australia and also the UK, including Canberra (Dept. of Aviation, Health Insurance Commission), in the UK for a few years with consultancy at Bournemouth, Lemington Spa, Edinburgh and Perth (Scot.), also at Farnborough for the Post Office, and for a much longer 5 year role working on a zOS system at Nuclear Electric near Bristol. Interspersed with these trips to the UK where various development roles at ColesMyer in Melbourne, and also a shorter contract at Telstra as a zOS CICS specialist. From around 2007 started working on Java systems at AXA Australia, and then from 2009 at IAG, my current company, initially in a technical testing role on a Java application (Melbourne). Over the last 8 years I've worked in a Performance and Volume testing role at IAG. Initially with Loadrunner, but after a few years the team moved to JMeter. It was towards the end of our use of Loadrunner myself and the team came up with the first ideas that have now become the open-sourced Mark59 software, a solution specifically targeting automated Continuous Integration Performance and Volume testing. I am the owner of mark59.com, and the lead (well, only!) developer, documenter and tester of the framework, although there is always plenty of input for the team (and even people from elsewhere on the planet) for ideas and improvements.Please see Mark59.com for more information our solution.
