Successfully integrated the core objectives of public partners and the firm’s internal investment parameters, particularly those focusing on public benefits, economic returns, and high-quality sustainable urban design. Worked as a project manager to advance a large-scale, mixed-use development project in downtown South Orange, New Jersey. Client consulting services included structuring of redevelopment proposals and management of large-scale projects with a focus on concept and design development, public finance, entitlement strategies, and redevelopment planning.

Provided urban planning and development advisory services to public and private clients. Served as Senior Planner to Morristown, New Jersey. Regularly oversaw multiple redevelopment projects including design development, redevelopment planning and legislative drafting, public/private agreement negotiations, interagency coordination, political consensus building, media relations, legal strategy development, and implementation oversight. Served as Planner to Morristown Zoning and Planning Boards and project manager of “Morristown Moving Forward,” a Mobility & Community Form Master Plan. Additional planning projects included the Newark, New Jersey Master Plan and on-call real estate consulting for New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Developed creative, innovative and cost-effective solutions for a wide variety of site design and regulatory challenges. Served as planning expert on multi-disciplinary land development team engaged in the engineering and design of a wide variety of commercial, residential and industrial projects. Targeted and acquired new business opportunities, while developing existing client relationships. Prepared comprehensive memoranda, correspondence and design documents in furtherance of public entitlements. Reviewed development plans submitted to client municipalities to ensure compliance with ordinance and master plan.

Served on firm’s Land Use, Real Estate and Construction Law group. Document preparation included a wide variety of land development applications, riders, public notices, and legal correspondence. Researched and analyzed municipal, county and state land use regulations including associated case law. Conducted internal review of development plans, reports and other technical documents prior to official submission. Coordinated client’s consultant teams; liaised between clients and land use officials.

Reported directly to Managing Director in all aspects of land development process, ranging from acquisition of raw land through design, entitlements and final disposition. Development projects included 64 estate homes and 190,000 square feet of mixed-use space on over 280 acres in Central New Jersey. Supported marketing efforts and negotiations of property transactions as both buyer and seller.
