At CounselChat, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. We're on a mission to bring therapy to everyone.We're solving two problems: awareness that therapy can help, and finding a counselor who's a good fit. Really, they're the same problem - it's hard to understand how therapy can help until you're doing it, and by then it's too late if your counselor isn't a good match. Much of my career has revolved around making sense of data, but when it comes to picking a counselor, there's little to go on. We built CounselChat to provide insight into each counselor's unique therapeutic approach, giving therapy-seekers a preview before committing to a relationship.

Healtho built Cures, a mobile healthcare app which rates treatment effectiveness based on aggregated research as well as feedback from real patients. Cures was featured by Apple in the healthcare category for two years running.Our technology crawls, aggregates and analyzes evidence to build comprehensive and up to date knowledge. We focus on data inaccessible due lack of structure - forums, blogs and other free text - using natural language processing and other machine learning techniques.

Following the acquisition of BuzzLabs by CityGrid, I ran the Seattle office. I expanded the engineering team and also managed teams in the Los Angeles headquarters. Integrated BuzzLabs technology into the CityGrid product and owned the Merchant Dashboard, which enabled small businesses to manage their online presence.

Buzzlabs helps businesses connect with customers through social media. It produces meaningful and actionable analytics that improves business ROI.My major responsibilities include: coding the first prototype, fundraising, hiring, finding and signing partners, to finally navigating the acquisition.
