I was part of a team providing 7+ software deliveries and patches per week to a large Korean handset manufacturer. It was absolutely imperative to avoid mistakes and inaccuracies in the delivery content and documentation. For that purpose I regularly reviewed and updated our releasing and delivery processes and scripts (in Perl and Bash). It was also very important to keep accurate historical information about deliveries, which we achieved using Confluence pages.I had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience using Perforce (Software Configuration Management tool) and I was a key user in the pilot team for a SCM tool migration (CM Synergy to Perforce). In connection with this I presented material to local developers to help them switch their work over. I provided ongoing advice and support to the new Perforce users.

The emphasis shifted increasingly towards direct software deliveries and patches to external customers (in particular to a large Korean handset manufacturer) and the requirement to provide mistake-free deliveries with accurate documentation was central to my way of working.

I was responsible for the component-integration, build and release of large SW projects to tight schedules. I helped maintain complete and accurate records of release information in Wiki. I supported developers in the use of SCM tools and processes (e.g. CM Synergy). I created and maintained Perl and shell scripts (bash) for releasing. I wrote and maintained checklists, work instructions and other process documents for release managers. I was also a key contributor in the development of a Web-based Build Robot. In connection with this I created and updated all project documentation including requirements and project plan. I organised regular meetings to discuss technical challenges with developers. We achieved a fully-working version.

I developed new scripts, test tools, processes and document resources. I obtained some experience of UE handset field testing on external networks.
