Installation of plastic and metal trunking and basketwork. Implementation Engineer Transmission, Marconi CommsFull aspects of installation on SMA1, 4, 16’s and commissioning of SMA1’s. Working on fast access (ccm) jumpering for System X in British Telecom exchanges throughout Scotland. Installation and splicing of MSH64, WDM and ATM fibres. Termination of Ethernet. Installation, Integration and commissioning of STM 1 Electrical and STM 4 optical cards series 2 and 3, 34 Meg and 2 Meg cards into SDH Muxes in BT exchangesInstallation of fibre optic cables (96, 24 and 8 fibre) from local area networks, through Raychem joints, into underground ducting and buildings. Internal work included trunking, splicing of the fibre optics, use of stepladders and termination of fibre optic cable onto racks and sibs.
