Administer HR Functions including but not limited to-New hire paperwork and processes.-Benefits coordination.-Payroll Questions.-Changes to existing forms (for example, direct deposit forms, IRA forms, and withholding forms)-Open enrollment.-Coordinate staffing decisions in cooperation with Department Managers-Create and develop processes for employee onboarding, and new hire paperwork submissions.

Operations:-Timely respond to both internal and external customer requests-Implement and monitor financial measures/expenditures-Initiate quality-oriented countermeasures in line with LEAN manufacturing practices.-Determine method of shipment optimizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes,and rates.- Coordinate international orders and shipments with the appropriate Sales Team members, the Sales Manager as well as working with various departments.- Maintains database by entering, updating, and retrieving data, as well as formatting and generating reports -Lead and support other duties and projects as assigned by Executive ManagementProcess Improvement:-Work closely with other departments and program management on the rules and internal processes governing all programs.-Work with others to devise and test solutions utilizing lean principals and best practices and roll out new ways of working.-Create and update training and process guides as well as offering ideas to improve processes-Propose continuous improvement of flows and processes.-Ensure documentation is compliant in collaboration with all departments.- Lead periodic lean health checks and audits.- Develop training materials and deliver education to employees on basic and advanced lean methodologies, continuous improvement topics and quality tools.

Logistics:-Monitor and examine all inbound and outbound shipments as well as their documentation and handle any issues that arise.- Coordinate customer orders and provide revisions on schedule changes.-Follow up on all damages and short shipment claims.-Submit and track progress of return authorizations and credit memos-Work with Sales, Operations, and Service to establish procedures for exporting shipments to international markets.-Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, representing management in purchase negotiations.-Manage material inventory to ensure the stock will meet the demand, and complete requisitions in a timely manner to replenish supplies as needed.-Source competitive shipping quotes as needed on LTL and International shipments.Managerial:-Manage and provide training to direct reports on daily priorities and ensure goals are completed efficiently and accurately through the entire operation and delivery.- Perform detailed capacity planning for the assigned team- Lead, motivate and develop employees - Conduct employee appraisals and discuss operational targets and goals-Assist hands on in the shipping department during peak times.

Lead the VYCC's community crew in Burlington, where we built 5 bridges over the course of the summer season. Also lead the Park Restoration crew out of the Groton State Forest, where we constructed 3 composting toilets and refurbished a lean-to roof.
