Philip B Cortis, is a seasoned ICT Professional with more then 30 years of experience in the corporate IT/Business world since he started very early as self-employed, with the first customer, an electronics factory at the age of 16. In 2020, Philip Cortis founded Micro Technology Consultancy Ltd, and ever since managed, which today operates in multiple areas, including ICT Distribution, IT Infrastructure, VoIP, Software development and Hospitality Solutions. Philip is the founder and CEO of Micro Technology Consultancy Ltd, a 23 years old IT company as well as the founder and CEO of Linkup, a comprehensive SAAS platform for Taxi Service with focus on the tourism market.Philip formal education is in Electronics but moved into IT at the age of 14 where he studied Software Analysis and Programming. Philip is also certified Trainer for DataCore DCIE certifications, which training opens on an annual bases.Philip has served as PRO of the Haz-Zebbug Business Association and as Member of the ICT Executive Committee within the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.Philip is a husband and father of 3 wonderful girls. It HeadFerdinand Menrad 1993 - Aug 1996MaltaMenrad was a factory manufacturing prescription glasses in Malta, with a workforce of 550 people. Philip was in charge of the IT department, which consisted of 3 people. Responsibilities included: - Maintaining the server and it's multiple serial terminals. A downtime of more then 12 hours would mean production oat the factory would start stopping - Maintaining several computers that were managing different robots at the factory - Software development for the above systems - Maintaining the punch-clock system - Introduced a LAN for PC's - Introduced the internet - Dad to day support for IT related queriesThis was Philip's first and only employment, before becoming full-time self employed and later forming Micro Technology.. After 3 months that Philip left Menrad, Menrad became Philip's customers and kept maintaining there systems till they winded down Malta operations.
