About Philip B. H. Kelly Mpa, Ipma-Scp

I am an HR Servant-Leader dedicated to Strategic HR and Organizational Development Practices in the Public Sector. I have over 25 years of experience in building and retaining high performance teams. I provide leadership, direction, and guidance for strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations of government agencies (100 - 1,000+ employees). I hire, develop, and motivate new HR professionals and turn them into HR Leaders. Who Am I?I am a Servant-Leader. My undergraduate degree (in Greek and Roman Civilization) taught me that there is no greater way to serve than being a part of the Government. The “Noble Roman” principles lead me to public service.I am a collaborative leader that works with all employees to understand how the actions HR takes can improve all areas of the organization so we can meet our mission.I am a tactful, diplomatic communicator who is emotionally aware of the persona I project.I am a life-long learner who constantly strives for professional and self-improvement. What Do I Do?I challenge my team to make the workplace better than when we first joined it; I foster an esprit de corps that makes our jobs fun and productive.I think “Win-Win”; I use the synergy of my team to develop a positive solution to any challenges that arise. Why Do I Do This?!In my view, the HR team is the “greatest customer service function” of an organization. I am dedicated to exceeding customer needs while maintaining the integrity of the HR program. All opinions expressed here are my own.
