I spent 6 months in Buenos Aires, Argentina perfecting my Spanish-speaking skills as a waiter and Psychology student at La Universidad de Buenos Aires. Upon returning to the States, I was lucky enough to get to be a lab assistant in John Cacioppo's Social Neuroscience Lab at the University of Chicago. Then I packed up and began my Chinese adventure in Dalian (the San Francisco of China--but with no bridge). After a year of learning Chinese in Dalian, I had the honor of doing my PhD in Social Neuroscience under Professor Xiaolin Zhou at Peking University (Beijing University;北京大学). After exploring post-doctoral opportunities in the Middle East, I decided to accept an offer to be a Professor of Applied Neuroscience in the States. Over the next 5 years, I received my MA in Transformational Leadership & Coaching, achieved PCC level coaching certification from ICF, started a company in China with our CEO and President, and became Director of Operations.After 6 years teaching and consulting in the US and China, I pivoted to for-profit work with a mission at Modern Executive Solutions, where I serve as Managing Director as an executive coach, leadership assessor, and leadership development consultant.
