MGT 2590: Leadership Onboarding prepares students to become leaders and to embark on a path of personal leadership development through a framework of authentic leadership and within the context of strategic organizational objectives. Students develop and utilize skills in business strategy, regulatory focus, executive presence and communication, fostering collaboration, and learning agility through reading, lectures, reflection, discussion groups, assessments, active coaching, and experiential learning, all while applying knowledge and conceptual understandings of real-world problems or situations where the instructor directs and facilitates learning through case studies, guided inquiry, or simulations. As a facilitator, I assisted the instructor in classroom facilitation for 25 Honors students. Facilitation included assisting in and presenting lectures, group activities, and leadership coaching. Outside of the classroom, I read student reflections and provided feedback on writing styles and communication.

JoePatient helps you find the right healthcare service, no matter where you are. Its mobile application allows users to find and compare nearby providers across a range of criteria, all while helping to make healthcare more transparent by providing information at your fingertips.During my 12 week internship at JoePatient, I analyzed over 90,000 medical records from across the United States in order to develop insight on healthcare performance and costs. This data was then used to compare and benchmark healthcare markets, identity consumer demographics and needs, and create a database of over 3,000 U.S healthcare providers, including general provider information (location, hours, etc.), calculated procedure expertise, costs of services, and current news. Apart from healthcare analytics, I collaborated with management in visualizing a minimal viable product through website and mobile design mockups. I also identified target customers, marketing channels, and provided a product pricing analysis through competitor benchmarking, which further helped to formulate a value proposition.

As a Campus Ambassador, I promoted Ohio University's Global Consulting Program (specifically the Hungary site) through in-class presentations, one-on-one student meetings, and campus marketing. I also assisted the Centers of Excellence in marketing tactics for future programs.

"Cluster" is an intensive semester at Ohio University that combines multiple aspects of business into one program. As a Copeland Associate, students must complete 2 high level, small-team projects under tight deadlines, all while balancing normal classwork and extra curricular.My first project involved a comprehensive analysis of the pharmaceutical industry in order to compare 2 competitors for outperformance. Working with 3 other peers, this involved forecasting market trends, identification of key success factors, industry benchmarking, and analysis of current R&D and patent holdings. Aside from the responsibilities above, I oversaw the analysis of company financials in order to understand how the patent expiration of key products will affect revenue and profit.Project 2 was a business plan and pitch for a brick-and-mortar retail clothing store. After analyzing the current state of the fashion and clothing industry, my team decided to create a women's athleisure-wear store. We collaborated on concept ideation, development of a value proposition, identification of customers, development of sales and marketing channels, analysis of potential information systems, and financial projections. For this project, I oversaw the analysis of competitors, both locally and internationally, in order to develop a unique value proposition. I also used financial predictions in order to create a demand forecast for products.

Ohio University's Global Consulting Program sends students around the globe to complete real-world consulting projects. This usually involves collaborating with cross-cultural teams and working with non-English speaking clients. For my experience, I chose to travel to Pécs, Hungary where I was assigned 2 cases.My first client was an entrepreneur who was in the process of creating an online chess school. Our main service provided was assistance in writing and editing a business plan and preparing their pitch for investors. We also assisted with project budgeting and gathering information regarding server usage.My second client was a high-end leather glove manufacturer and retailer, selling to many high profile customers from around the world. Our main service was assistance in rebranding their company following a recent name change and change in management. This involved development of a mock website and mobile application and analyzing surveys on current brand perception in order to create a new marketing campaign.

Holding over 3.2 million gallons of water, Lakeside Swim Club is one of the largest privately owned pools in the United States. Their competitive swimming team, the SeaHawks, have competed around the world, including multiple Olympic games.As a lifeguard, my primary duty was to maintain pool safety and cleanliness through rule enforcement and immediate action in emergencies. This involved staying up to date on first aid and CPR certifications, facility procedures, and maintaining physical abilities. Other duties included assisting patrons in understanding club policies and procedures as well as orientation to the facility.
