I’m passionate about building teams and building businesses. I set up WITHIN after 15+ years of agency life to make a real difference in the way leaders support their people and grow their businesses by building connected cultures where people can thrive.Before this, I spent a decade at customer agency, C Space, being part of its transformation from a scrappy 40 person co-creation consultancy, through an acquisition by Omnicom and its growth into a 400+ person global organization. A highlight was the 4 years I spent with Felix Koch as Joint Managing Director of its London office, a period which culminated in C Space winning ‘Best Agency’ and ‘Best Place to Work’ at the MRS Awards. We were also delighted to be jointly recognized on Management Today’s Top 30 Agents of Change list for championing inclusion and equality in business.This was followed by 4 years in Boston as Chief People Officer where I oversaw C Space’s people strategy, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development. In 2020, we won Learning Team of the Year at the LPI's global Learning Awards.I’m a proud Southwestern Advantage alum, and spent 7 summers knocking on doors in communities across the USA, running my own business selling books door-to-door with teams I’d recruited from universities in the UK. Outside work, you’ll find me out running, ferrying my kids around, or out in nature, picking up litter. A few years ago, my wife and I started Just1bag2020, a campaign to encourage people to pick up litter, just one bag at a time. It went viral, with more than 4,500 people around the world collecting 60,000 bags of litter. Just1bag is now a not-for-profit, on a mission to inspire people to make a positive difference in the world, just one action at a time. On here, I talk about mental health, inclusion, culture-building and leadership. I also reflect on what I’m learning as I balance setting up a new business with family life and trying to do my bit to positively impact the world around me.
