I come to the table armed with the knowledge and experience in both the depth and breadth of the property management industry. My foundation in PM began in operations, specifically maintenance and site management, then progressed through the years to corporate president managing 8,000 units. A a result, I have accumulated experience in most every aspect of income producing real estate in multifamily (conventional & subsidized), commercial, new and rehabed developments. During my career, I was an Adjunct Professor at the University at Omaha writing the course material and teaching Property Management as part of a Real Estate Degree within the Department of Economics; Police Academy Instructor across the Front Range in Colorado training Community Resource Police Officers in reducing Class II crime (gangs, drugs, gambling, prostitution) on and around rental property. As a long time public speaker, I have spoken extensively on a variety of property related subjects that includes aspects of: Ethics, Fair Housing, Conventional & Subsidized (Sec 8, Tax Credit, ADA, and most other HUD programs), Resident Retention, and sales/marketing, and others. For over 20 years, on a national scale, I have been called upon as a Case Consultant and as an Expert Witness representing a balance of both Plaintiff and Defense clients on a wide range of negligence issues.I am available on a consulting basis on a number of issues. For example: property turn-arounds due to ineffective operational protocols, poor NOI results, deferred maintenance including failing HQS scores, and underperforming staff members; severe crime situations that includes employee theft as well as the criminal element throughout the community.
